| Term | Definition |
| Fiber Optic Cable | A cable that uses light beams to transmit information rather than electrical signals traveling over metal wires. |
| Frequency | High-pitched sounds have a high frequency, low-pitched ones a low frequency. Audible sounds range from around 16Hz to 20kHz. Sounds in the 16 - 50HZ range are felt as much as heard. Most adults experience loss of hearing in the higher frequencies, with age. |
