Question: Can I add custom in-wall speakers to my existing home?
Answer: Yes. Although it is easier in many cases to run custom wiring in homes that are still under construction, there are often many possibilities for custom installation of speakers, volume controls, etc., in existing homes. Consult with your Lipton's audio/'video sales representative, for more details on possibilities for your particular interests. Often a house call will answer many of your questions and provide an opportunity for further options.Question: Can I install in-wall speakers myself?
Answer: Yes. In many homes, simple in-wall speaker additions can be made by do-it-yourselfers. Consult with your Liptons sales representative, for the full rundown on wiring guage requirements, CSA specified wiring, and recommended volume control and terminal treatments. Remember that Liptons qualified installation team is always available to handle more complex or troublesome job applications.Question: Video Projectors: what are they, and are they better than other
big-screen TV options?
Answer: Video projectors are designed to operate like a movie projectorin a home theatre or business application....throwing a large video image on a wall mounted movie screen. In a home theatre system, Video projectors are usually hooked up to a video source like DVD, satellite, VCR or cable boxes. They require a darkened room, and can usually provide images from 60" diagonal to up to 200". There are three types currently: cathode ray tube, LCD, and DLP. All have their benefits and drawbacks, but LCD and DLP are the current popularly priced designs that are most often installed.
Good quality video projectors can provide state-of-the-art performance, with high brightness, contrast, detail, and HDTV quality picture display.
